And Cue The Twisting Of Mitt's Words

And so it begins...next thing you know the press will be asking Mitt what he meant when he said he could see Switzerland from his bank account.

Mitt's entire response was: "I’m not concerned about the very poor. We have a safety net there. If it needs a repair, I’ll fix it."

Pretty straightforward if not completely artful - there is something already in place to deal with that slim percentage and if necessary it can be fixed. Snubbing is ignoring, acknowledging that a system is already in place and promising to fix it if there is a problem is not ignoring.

Who else did he "snub" - the group not played up?

"I’m not concerned about the very rich."

Hmmm...where are the "Romney snubs rich" articles?

UPDATE - thank goodness he's pushing back:
"You've got to take the whole sentence, all right, as opposed to saying...and then change it just a little bit, because then it sounds very different.

I've said throughout the campaign my focus, my concern, my energy is gonna be devoted to helping middle income people, all right? We have a safety net for the poor, and if there are holes in it, I will work to repair that. And if there are people that are falling through the cracks I want to fix that. Wealthy people are doing fine. But my focus in the campaign is on middle-income people. Of course I'm concerned about all Americans--poor, wealthy, middle class, but the focus of my effort will be on middle income families who I think have been most hurt by the Obama economy."
You know, if he plays this right, it could work out well for him, because every time they ask him about it he gets to go off on the media editing his words to make him look bad and he gets to spout talking points against their weak attempt to twist his words. But that's a real 'if'.
